In 2019, City Council voted to approve the distribution of a National Community Survey by the National Research Center to get feedback from residents and set community benchmarks along with the census in 2020.

This scientific survey was sent to a randomly selected 3,000 residents, evenly spread out in each of the seven wards.
Selected residents received a post card in the mail in May and received the scientific survey in June.

Now that the survey has been completed, it allows the City to compare data with similar cities across the united states and see how resident opinions and satisfactions differ by ward.
