Brendan O'Brien named to MSOE honors list for Spring Quarter 2022
Brendan O'Brien, from Batavia, was named to the Milwaukee School of Engineering's Honors List for the 2022 Spring Quarter. O'Brien is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Undergraduate students who have earned a GPA of 3.20 or higher (out of 4.0) for this quarter are on the Honors List.

Batavia students graduate from Elmhurst University
In an atmosphere that was festive despite gray skies and some afternoon rain, Elmhurst University held its 151st Commencement for the Class of 2022. On Saturday, May 21, nearly 850 undergraduate and graduate students took part in the three ceremonies held throughout the day, out of more than 1,000 Elmhurst students who earned degrees. The following local students earned degrees:
- Ashley Marie Celia, of Batavia (60510), graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing.
- Katelyn Anne Law, of Batavia (60510), graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Alex Christopher Kielion, of Batavia (60510), graduated with a Master of Business Administration.
The commencements marked the official end to the University's yearlong sesquicentennial celebrations, and "the first day of our next 150 years," President Troy D. VanAken said.

Batavia student named to dean's list for Spring 2022
Cedarville University student Sarah Kroger of Batavia, IL, majoring in Nursing, was named to the Dean's Honor List for spring 2022. This recognition requires the student to obtain a 3.75 GPA or higher for the semester and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Student from Batavia makes Wisconsin Lutheran College's dean's list
Lauren Nelson, of Batavia, a junior at Wisconsin Lutheran College, has been named to the college's Dean's List for the spring 2022 semester. Lauren is a graduate of Aurora Central Catholic High School.
To be eligible for Dean's List, a student must carry a semester GPA of 3.6 or higher.
