Batavia student recognized by Rock Island Rotary

Jessica Mangers, a 2023 graduate of Augustana College, was recognized this spring for academic achievement by the Rock Island Rotary Club in Rock Island, Ill.

Mangers, of Batavia, IL (60510), was recognized for outstanding academic achievement. She was the guest of honor at an awards luncheon where she received the award from Augustana College President Andrea Talentino. Mangers graduated in May with a bachelor of arts in Psychology.

Audio production major from Batavia makes dean’s list

Middle Tennessee State University student Josh Dauskurdas of Batavia was named to the dean's list for the spring 2023 semester. Dauskurdas, who is majoring in Audio Production, was among 5,430-plus students who made the list.

To qualify for this distinction, an undergraduate student must maintain a current semester grade-point average of 3.5 or above and earn at least 12 semester hours.

University of Iowa 2023 spring semester president's list honorees announced

More than 1,100 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa were named to the president's list for the 2023 spring semester.

President's list status was earned by only 93 first-year undergraduates during the 2023 spring semester at Iowa; only 249 second-year students; only 294 third-year students; and only 539 fourth-year students.

Students from Batavia include Hailey Durso (Classification: undergraduate - first year; College: College of Nursing; Major: Nursing).

Batavia student makes dean's list at Roger Williams University

Brianna Picchietti, of Batavia, IL, has been named to the Spring 2023 Dean's List at Roger Williams University, in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

Shenandoah University announces Over 1,100 graduates

Sarah Mugavero, of Batavia, IL, was among the 1,143 students who graduated from Shenandoah University during the 2022-23 academic year.

Mugavero earned a Doctor of Occupational Therapy.

Shenandoah had 200 August 2022 graduates, 295 December 2022 graduates, and 648 May 2023 graduates. Shenandoah's 2023 commencement ceremony took place on May 20 in the James R. Wilkins, Jr. Athletics and Events Center.

Student from Batavia named to Elmhurst University's spring 2023 dean's list

Ashley Liljeberg, of Batavia, IL, was among more than 925 students named to Elmhurst University's Spring 2023 Dean's List.

The Dean's List is composed of students who during the term concerned, attained a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher (out of a possible 4.00).

University of Alabama dean’s, president’s lists name Batavia students

A total of 12,487 students enrolled during Spring Semester 2023 at The University of Alabama were named to the dean's list with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the president's list with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). These driven students are making waves across UA's more than 70 undergraduate programs and 12 colleges and schools.
