Lindzie Nork inducted into honor society of Phi Kappa Phi

Lindzie Nork of Batavia, Illinois, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Nork was initiated at Elmhurst University.

Nork is among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.

Batavia student named to Lewis University dean’s list

Alyssa Haayer of Batavia, IL, was recently honored by Lewis University. Haayer is studying Special/Elementary Education at Lewis University and made the 2021 Fall Dean's List.

Just over 1,400 students were honored on the Lewis University Dean's List for the 2021 Fall Semester. To be eligible for this honor, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours during the semester with a grade point average of at least 3.5 and with no "D" or "F" grades.
