College Credits: Batavia Student Inducted Into Selective Honor Society

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi inducts new members from Batavia

The following people recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

• Jenna Lane of Batavia (60510) at Purdue University
• Brian Petrick of Batavia (60510) at Northern Illinois University

They are among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.

Batavia student achieves spring 2023 dean's list at Belmont University

Reese Cobb (Batavia) qualified for Belmont University's Spring 2023 Dean's List. Approximately 49 percent of Belmont's 6,552 undergraduate students were named.

Local student named to SNHU dean’s list

Allyson Hunter of Batavia (60510) has been named to Southern New Hampshire University's Winter 2023 Dean's List. The winter terms run from January to May.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

Spring 2023 Dean's List at Olivet Nazarene University

To qualify for inclusion on the Dean's List, a student must have been enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student and must have attained a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.00 grading scale.
