Batavia student awarded degree from Miami University

Abigail Solano of Batavia, IL was among more than 4,555 students from Miami University who received degrees during the in-person spring commencement May 13, 2023.

Solano graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Strategic Communication, Fashion.

Student from Batavia makes Illinois Wesleyan University's spring 2023 dean's list

Mick Glavin, of Batavia, Illinois, was named to the Dean's List for the spring semester of the 2022-23 academic year at Illinois Wesleyan University. Glavin is a sophomore majoring in Business.

Glavin was among 731 students from 30 states and 29 countries named to the Spring 2023 Dean's List.

To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a GPA of 3.50 or better during the semester, based on 4.0 for straight As.

Student from Batavia graduates from University of Mississippi

Alexis Newendyke, of Batavia, IL, is among the more than 3,100 students who earned their degrees from the University of Mississippi in May 2023.

Newendyke, who majored in Elementary Education, received a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the School of Education.

More than 6,400 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students have been named to the Deans' List for the spring semester of the 2022-23 academic year.

Batavia student named to dean's list at RIT

Galen Sagarin of Batavia (60510) was named to the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for the spring semester of the 2022-2023 academic year. Sagarin is in the computer science program.

Full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.
