Batavia students honored on Luther College dean’s list

Luther College is pleased to announce the names of the outstanding undergraduates who have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2022 semester.

Local students include:

• Cade Hawkins of Batavia
• Nathan Knautz of Batavia

To be named to the Dean's List, a student must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale and must complete at least 12 credit hours with 10 hours of conventional grades (A, B, C, D).

University of Iowa 2022 spring president's list honorees announced

More than 1,000 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa named to the president's list for the 2022 spring semester.

President's list status was earned by only 73 first-year undergraduates during the 2022 spring semester at Iowa; only 199 second-year students; only 285 third-year students; and only 464 fourth-year students.

The president's list was established in the fall of 1983 to recognize academic excellence.

In order to be included on the list, a student must have a minimum 4.0 grade-point average (4.0 is an A) in all academic subjects for the fall 2021 semester, and a minimum of nine graded hours with a 4.0 grade-point average (4.0 is an A) in all academic subjects for the spring 2021 semester. Courses offered on a satisfactory/unsatisfactory (S/U), pass/fail (P/F), or pass/non-pass (P/N) basis do not count toward graded credit for inclusion on the president's list.

Dean's, president's lists students named at University of Alabama

A total of 11,224 students enrolled during Spring Semester 2022 at The University of Alabama were named to the dean's list with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the president's list with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's).

The UA dean's and president's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

Batavia student named to Missouri State University's spring 2022 dean's list

Each semester, students at Missouri State University who attain academic excellence are named to the dean's list.

For undergraduate students, criteria include enrollment in at least 12 credit hours during the spring semester and at least a 3.50 GPA (on a 4.00 scale).

Kelly Sego of Batavia (60510) made the list. Sego was among more than 4,700 students named to the spring 2022 dean's list.

Batavia native named to Wartburg College dean’s list

Nora Carr of Batavia graduated from the University of Hartford in May of 2022. Carr earned their BS in Engineering in Acoustical Engineering & Music.
