To assist school board candidates with the petition process, the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) hosted a livestream webinar Sept. 15."How to Navigate Running for School Board: Petition Circulation" — a recording is available on the IASB website — covered key dates pertaining to candidate petitions, including when they can be circulated and when and where they need to be turned in. The livestream also went over details about the election process, other important dates and deadlines, and obligations for candidates and board secretaries. There will also be a Q&A following the discussion to answer any questions.

Additional information for school board candidates and about school board elections can be found online.
