Delivery Of New HS Bleachers To Cause Temporary Road Closure

Wilson Street, from Saratoga Drive to Western Avenue, will be closed to traffic for a few hours on June 29, police announced.

BATAVIA, IL — Batavia High School's football stadium is undergoing renovations, causing temporary road closures for a portion of Wilson Street.

Wilson Street, from Western Avenue to Saratoga Drive, will be blocked to oncoming traffic from 8 a.m. to noon June 29 while new bleachers will be delivered to the high school. This will be the second road closure in a week after Wilson Street was closed from 8-10 a.m. Thursday while crews delivered new light standards.

Police are encouraging drivers to use Main Street and McKee Street as alternate east/west routes during the closure.
