According to the most recent statistics by the Humane Society, each year approximately 1.2 million dogs and puppies are euthanized…which averages to about 3288 dogs a DAY!

Safe Haven Dog Rescue is an all foster based rescue. That means we have no shelter, and can only save dogs if we have foster homes to place them in. Our partner shelters are overpopulated and are forced to euthanize for space. They have reached out to us, desperate for help. Now we are reaching out to you, desperate for foster families.

The puppies in this picture NEED FOSTER HOMES to be rescued. There are 6 puppies so we are asking for 3 families to foster 2 puppies each…or 2 families to foster 3 puppies.

If you aren’t interested in puppies, how about fostering a teen or adult dog? Our partner rescues have all ages and sizes of deserving dogs just waiting for their chance! Just let us know!

While you foster, we pay all expenses from vetting, to food and we provide a crate, leash, collars, and toys. Your family provides love (something the pups desperately needs) and a safe place to lay their head until they find a forever home.

We request that you have the ability to take your foster to routine veterinary visits at our participating vets. These vets are located in Wheaton, Naperville, and Elmhurst. Spay/Neuters are done in North Aurora.

Fostering is the most life giving thing you can do for a dog or puppy! It is a very rewarding experience that will make a huge impact on their life. And if your foster dog turns out to be the perfect fit for our family, you will have the first option to adopt.
