Elderly Woman Injured After Crashing Car Into Bank

BATAVIA, IL - A 71-year-old woman was injured after crashing her vehicle into a bank in Batavia on Thursday evening.

The Batavia Fire Department responded to the PNC Bank parking lot, at 825 N. Randall Road in Batavia, at 5:32 p.m. on Thursday where the vehicle collided with an outside column at the entrance to the bank, according to a news release.

Fire crews extricated the woman from the vehicle and she was taken to Delnor Hospital.

The city of Batavia building department was notified to inspect the damage to the structure, according to a news release.

The accident remains under investigation.
