Batavia, IL – In celebration of National Dance week and in support of Alex’s Army, an American Cancer Society Relay for Life Team, Batavia Academy of Dance will host “Kick to Make a Difference” a public fundraising kick-line performance event on Saturday, April 30, 2011.
National Dance Week is a nationally honored event dedicated to introducing as many people as possible to the enjoyment and benefits of dance. Batavia Academy of Dance is ecstatic to premier what they hope will be an annual event, “Kick to Make a Difference” on Saturday, April 30, 2011 in celebration of this important week. This fun kick-line fundraising event is aimed at bringing awareness to the wonders of dance and awareness and support to a local cause. This year’s chosen charity is Alex’s Army an American Cancer Society Relay for Life Team. Let’s kick for a cure!
Join Batavia Academy of Dance at 8 ½ E. Wilson St. , on Saturday, registration begins at 2:00 pm as they attempt to fill and span the William H. Donovan Bridge with participants of all ages, shapes and sizes-No dance experience is needed! Participants will learn a fun, easy and brief kick-line combination from 2:30-3:00 pm that will then be performed at on the William H. Donovan Bridge located in the heart of downtown Batavia .
