High School Competitive Dance Team at The Attic Christian Arts Center, Batavia

Know a high school student looking for a Christian dance opportunity for grades 9-12?  This is for dancers that have several years of dance experience and are looking for a competitive team experience. –Dance team is a 8-month commitment and fees include: a minimum of 24 class sessions (in a 9-month period – no summer classes), costume(s), competition fees, tights (2 pair) and more (see chart below). $885

–Classes run through May 19^th.  No classes the weeks of Nov 18-24, Dec 23-29 & Dec 30-Jan 5, Mar 24-30

–Warm-ups are a required additional purchase (if needed) – jacket ($50), t-shirt ($19), black shorts ($11) or all 3 pieces for $75

–We offer a 10% discount for additional classes or sibling’s classes.  The most expensive class or dance team is at regular price and then 10% off for any additional classes or sibling’s classes.

–Dance team costs (plus any additional classes taken/costume fees) are split into 8 equal payments due Nov 1, Dec 1, Jan 1, Feb 1, Mar 1, Apr 1, May 1, and June 1 (2012-13).  

Dance Team 2012/2013 Required Events:

–Dance America Competition – February 15-17, 2013 – Paramount, Aurora (only mandatory for Monday night teams)

–VIP Dance Competition – March 15-17, 2013 – Hemens, Elgin (all teams)

–Rainbow Dance Competition – April 5-7, 2013 – Paramount, Aurora (all teams)

–Recital, rehearsal, pictures (even if not purchasing), and banquet (partially catered w/potluck) are mandatory events and will be held the weekend of May 17-19, 2013.  Exact dates/times and venue will be announced by Dec 31, 2012.

–Loyalty Day Parade in Batavia - May 5^th – The date has not been formally announced, but is scheduled annually for the 1^st Sunday in May.

Service Events and Teambuilders (participation is recommended):

–Samaritan’s Purse Shoe Box Packing & Pizza Party – Friday, November 9^th from 7-10 pm in the studio
–Feed My Starving Children – Friday, March 8^th from 8-9:30 pm in Aurora at FMSC location (transportation required)
