Polo Tournament Fund Raiser in Batavia, IL

The annual Polo Tournament Championship game is open to he public as a fund raiser this season.  Revenue will be shared between Batavia Main Street (specifically to help fund Shakespeare on Clark) and the Oswego Playhouse.   This is a wonderfully fun event for the family!!  Drive to the Polo Field, tailgate from the back out your car while enjoying a polo match.    The announcer not only commentates on the action, but explains the game of polo.  Between chuckers (similar to  innings) attendees are encouraged to head out onto the field to stomp back the divots made by the mallots during the game play.  And halfway through the game, the Alexander family brings out their beautful Clydsdale horse and children young and old can ride their horse drawn wagon around the field...great photo ops for the kids!!!  There are lots of raffle prizes, and their is a tailgate contest.  Theme for this years contest is "I Believe In Magic."  and you can dec our your tailgate area, dress is costume, theme your tailgate lunch  and possibly win even more prizes.  Cost for this event is $10 donation per person, or $30 for a car load.  Just a once a year experience that will also contibute to the arts in our community.   For details and maps to this event check out the web site www.jesterscourtyard.com
