Fire At Warehouse On Gary Lane

A fire broke out around 4:45 p.m. Monday at a warehouse just east if 2202 Gary Lane in Geneva.

Fire Department personnel sprayed water into a chimney on the building's roof. It appears that the building has been evacuated, and no one is in danger.

Part of Gary Lane was closed to traffic, but there is no backup as of 5:15 p.m.

At 5:35 p.m., Tri-Com advised that a ventilation unit was on the way, but it would be another 40 minutes until it could get there.
