BATAVIA, IL — Gas prices are slightly down from the previous week, giving Batavia residents a little relief at the pump. As of Thursday, the average price for gas in Illinois is about $4.46 per gallon, according to AAA. That's down 3 cents from a week ago.
Nationally, the average Thursday was about $4.23 per gallon.
At around $4.41 per gallon in Kane County Thursday, gas prices were slightly under the state average.

According to GasBuddy, the cheapest gas in Batavia is selling for $4.27 per gallon at Walmart, 885 N. Randall Road. Here are some other places you can save in town:
- Mobil at 710 E. Fabyan Parkway, $4.42 per gallon
- Speedway at 1495 E. Wilson St., $4.43 per gallon
- Shell at 200 E. Fabyan Parkway, $4.43 per gallon
- BP at 200 N. Randall Road, $4.44 per gallon
