Gas Price Update: Prices On The Rise In Batavia

BATAVIA, IL — Throughout March and into April, gas prices continued to decrease in Illinois. But as of the start of May, that's no longer the case. In Batavia, prices are up from the previous week.
As of Thursday, the average price for gas in Illinois is about $4.54 per gallon, according to AAA. That's up 15 cents from the week before.
At around $4.56 per gallon in Kane County, gas prices are slightly above the state average.

According to GasBuddy, the cheapest gas in Batavia is selling for $4.39 per gallon at Mobil, 2074 Main St. Here is what other stations around town are charging:

- Walmart at 885 N. Randall Road; $4.56 per gallon
- Shell at 108 N. Batavia Ave.; $4.57 per gallon
