Hall Of Honor Nominations Open For Batavia District 101

Know someone who graduated from the district who's off doing excellent things? Nominations for the Hall of Honor are open through March 11.

BATAVIA, IL — Batavia Public School District 101 is looking for nominations for the annual induction into its Hall of Honor. Know someone who graduated from the district at least 15 years ago and is doing exciting things in life? Now is the time to nominate them.

The Hall of Fame is open not only to Batavia High School graduates but to community members and District 101 staff as well. Categories people can be nominated in include the following four:

  • BHS alumni, personal achievement: Graduates who have demonstrated excellence and made significant contributions in their field.
  • BHS alumni, service: Graduates who have contributed significantly to their community, state, or country/
  • Non-alumni, friend of Batavia: People who have given meritorious service to Batavia and/or one or more of its schools for many years.
  • Non-alumni, District 101 staff member: Staff members who have worked for the district a minimum of 10 years.

Nominations for the distinction are due by March 11. An application form can be found on the district's website. Nominees who aren't selected this year will be considered in future years, according to the district's website.

The Hall of Honor Committee will consider written recommendations for each nomination and will then cast their votes for new recipients.

An induction ceremony will take place in the summer of 2022, but a date has not yet been set.
