The Holmstad says 'thanks' to resident volunteers
Volunteers logged more than 15,000 hours in 2015

As a way to say thank you for logging 15,484 volunteer hours in 2015, Holmstad residents were treated to an Oscar-themed Volunteer Recognition Brunch at the faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community. Pictured: Wes and Lois Ryd were among 150 residents who attended the brunch; they were served Chicken Oscar, pear and walnut salad and “Red Carpet” red velvet cupcakes. For entertainment, Chaplains Dan Anderson and Sally Pierce performed a radio skit, entitled “Radio Station W.A.V.E. (We Appreciate Volunteers Everyday) Broadcasting Live from The Holmstad.” The Holmstad’s interim Executive Director Sara Forsman presented. Throughout the year, residents volunteer at local food banks, hospitals, schools, community centers and within the Holmstad community.
