Like Batavia's Bulldogs, Hydrants Blooming All Over Downtown Geneva

Batavia has its Bulldogs, now Geneva has fire hydrants.

Batavia's Bulldogs were such a big hit, neighbor towns are taking notice and doing their own thing.

In Geneva, it's painted fire hydrants. This one's at the corner of Third and State in front of Starbucks and has been painted with coffee cup images and other java-related art.

The hydrant-painting is part of the city's Art on Fire program, which drew 52 entries in this, its inaugural year.

Ace Hardware is donating half-pint paint colors to full-sized artists.

The city's Public Arts Advisory Committee is judging the designs and will hand out awards later this month.

Which are your favorites? Tell us the location and what you like about the design in the comments field below.
