IDOT Announces River Street Road Closure
Expect delays on River Street between Sullivan Road and Fabyan Parkway this week.

BATAVIA, IL - The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announced that a full closure will take place on River Street (Illinois 25) at the BNSF railroad tracks, north of Banbury Road, in Batavia, beginning, weather permitting, on Monday, May 8. The closure is necessary to repair the at-grade railroad crossing, according to a news release.
Beginning May 8, River Street will be fully closed between Sullivan Road and Fabyan Parkway. A posted detour will direct northbound River Street traffic to go west on Sullivan Road, north on Lake Street (Illinois 31), and east on Fabyan Parkway to meet back with River Street. Southbound River Street traffic will take the reverse route.
The full closure will be in place until Monday, May 15, weather permitting.
