Intersection at River and State Closed This Week

The work includes removing and resetting the permeable paver areas at the intersection as well as other miscellaneous repairs.

The intersection of River Street and State Street will be closed for street work Monday, Oct. 14, and be reopened to traffic at the end of the day on Friday, Oct. 18.

The work is part of the punch list for Leopardo Construction and will include removing and resetting the permeable paver areas at the intersection as well as other miscellaneous repairs.

North River Street from Wilson Street to State Street will remain open as well as the parking deck.

During this time, deliveries for businesses on North River Street should use State Street. The city of Batavia has coordinated this work with the businesses.

Following the completion of the paver work, the contractor will begin sandblasting the walls at El Taco Grande and Tusk the week of Oct. 21.

For questions regarding this work, contact the Streetscape Hotline at 630-454-2777.
