July 4th Fireworks 2022 Near Batavia

BATAVIA, IL — Cities and counties across the country continue to bring back many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified the last two years. July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

When: 9:30 p.m. July 4

What: Food, entertainment ahead of fireworks show
Where: Engstrom Park, 326 Millview Drive, across from Batavia High School
When: Starting at 5 p.m. July 4

Food and music are part of Batavia's Independence Day celebrations, and from 5-9:30 p.m., visitors can "savor the flavor" from various food vendors. From 8:30-9:15 p.m., Batavia Community Band will put on a concert, ahead of the Sky Concert that will kick off at dusk.

Ahead of the event, the Batavia Fireworks Committee is asking for locals to donate money as the group is "several thousand dollars short" of delivering the show, Patch reported.

Donations can be made by submitting a payment online or stopping by City Hall, at 100 N. Island Ave., to drop off a check and pick up a yard sign (for a $25 or more donation).
