BATAVIA, IL — Maintenance will begin next week on two bridges in Batavia, city officials said.

Starting Tuesday, crews will pressure wash the Wilson Street/Donovan Bridge over the Fox River and the Deerpath Road Bridge over Mill Creek in addition to sealing bridge decks. The work is meant to extend the life of the structures and reduce long-term maintenance costs.

Both bridges will remain open during construction but drivers should expect daily lane closures and shifting traffic, officials said.
