League Of Women Voters To Host Forum On Batavia D101 Referendum
District 101 seeks a $140 million bond issuance to fund the replacement of two defunct schools and projects at six other Batavia schools.
BATAVIA, IL — The League of Women Voters of Central Kane County will host a public forum on the Batavia Public School District 101 (BPS101) Referendum on the April 4, 2023, ballot. They will invite representatives from both sides of the issue and representatives from BPS101 to share information and answer questions from the public.
This free public forum will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 7:00 PM at the Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Avenue, in Batavia.

Each represented group will have the opportunity to make an opening statement, then respond to questions from the audience. Additional information about this referendum question can be found online.

According to Patti Lackman, Voter Service Chair of the League of Women Voters of Central Kane County, “We are excited to provide this opportunity to BPS101 voters to meet and ask questions on this important topic. The League of Women Voters has a long tradition of impartiality in elections, never endorsing a candidate, a referendum question, or a political party. We hope all of the invited speakers make it a point to participate in this important forum.”

- Tuesday, March 7, 2023: Last day to register to vote
- Wednesday, March 8 – Monday, April 3, 2023: Grace Period Registration & Voting at Kane County Elections Main Office & Aurora Satellite)
- Friday, March 10 – Monday, April 3, 2023: Early Voting Period at Kane County Elections Main Office & Aurora Satellite
- Monday, March 20 – Monday, April 3, 2023: Early Voting Period at all Early Voting Polling Places
- Tuesday, April 4, 2023: Election Day
- Tuesday, March 7, 2023: Last day to register to vote
