Learn about Northern Illinois Food Bank at World Hunger Day volunteer event

World Hunger Day is May 28, offering a great opportunity to learn about Northern Illinois Food Bank and the work it is doing to feed our hungry neighbors.

Come pack food at the Food Bank’s West Suburban Center, 273 Dearborn Court in Geneva, for distribution to neighbors in need during a special World Hunger Day volunteer event from 6-8:30 p.m. on May 28. Participants will be able to learn about all of the innovative programs the Food Bank uses to help serve more than 60,000 people each week.

Representatives from the Food Bank’s Young Professionals Board, which offers opportunities to connect and network with professionals from the area while helping raise awareness about the issue of hunger in northern Illinois, will also be on hand to share membership information.
