“How to Start Your Genealogy Research” will be presented at 7 p.m. on October 6, at Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave. Genealogist Steve Szabados will talk about how to use both Internet and traditional archival resources when researching family history. Szabados, author of five books on genealogy and the U.S. Census, has researched his ancestors back to 1600s in New England and 1730s in Poland, Germany, Bohemia, and Slovenia. This program is the first program in the Library’s new genealogy series, “Questions & Ancestors.” The program is free; however, registration is required.
