Learn About Radon!

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States. Learn how to test for radon and protect your health.

Come join the Batavia Environment Commission and the Kane County Healthy Places on Monday, March 19, 2018 for a fun filled night at the Batavia Public Library.

There will be soup and hot cocoa before and after the video and speaker presentation. There will also be a table for activities for all ages. Activities will include an arts and crafts, a word search, and a roulette wheel.

The movie will talk about the dangers of radon and how families can prevent any health risks relate to radon. The audience will learn how to use a radon testing kit and what the next steps will be once the results of the test come back. After the movie, an ARMA Mitigation presenter will go over mitigation and the importance of it. Past winners of the radon video and poster contest will be showcased throughout the night.
