September 6th was my last day in the US until late June. My friends stopped by after school to say their last good byes, it was so sad! I left for the airport at 3:30 pm to catch my 6:00 flight. We made it with plenty of time to spare and everything went smoothly, but I ended up having to check one of my carry ons. I sat next to a really nice guy named Peter from chicago and he was also 16, we talked the whole way down to Miami. I had to find gate D15 with a 50 pound backpack on full of stuff that wouldn't fit anywhere else, luckily it wasn't a far walk at all. I had a 2 hour layover which went by pretty fast cause I could still text all of my friends. Everyone at my gate was speaking spanish, even the workers. So when they called us up for boarding and it was in spanish I had no idea what they were saying! but they also used hand gestures so I could figure it out. I was on a huge 777 plane with 5 seats in the middle and 2 seats on the other sides. I was sitting next to a lady who spoke very good english and we had a short conversation until she moved seats because her TV wasn't working. Now no one was sitting on either side of me so after watching The Great Gatsby I laid down and fell asleep. Although it was uncomfortable I think I slept for about 4 hours and woke up to breakfast and an hour left on this plane. I already felt like I was in Argentina because everyone was speaking spanish.
