Library to Host College Workshop for Parents and Teens, Feb. 16
Learn what happens to the FAFSA form after it is submitted. Parents, learn how to help your students find the college that's best for them!

“College Workshop: the FAFSA & College Selection” is a two-part program for parents and high school seniors. The program will be held at the Batavia Public Library from 7 to 8:30 p.m., on Monday, February 16. At 7 p.m., parents and seniors can learn what happens to the Federal Student Aid Free Application form once it’s been submitted and how to read an award letter from a college or university. At 7:45 p.m., parents of juniors and seniors can learn how to help their students as they search for the “right” college. Topics include facts about college value, college visits, financial aid basics, student budgets, and other common concerns. The program is presented by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. Registration is required; register online at BataviaPublicLibrary.org or call the library Reference Desk, (630) 879-1393, ext. 200.
