Literacy Volunteers Needed

Tutor Training Slated for October

Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley needs volunteers who can help Tri-City adults learn English. If you can help, you will want to attend the free tutor training workshop that is slated for October.

The four-session workshop will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, October 13, 15, 20, and 22 at the St. Charles Public Library, One South Sixth Avenue in St. Charles.

Trained tutors are paired with adult learners. Pairs meet for one hour each week at a time and public location that is convenient. The St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia, and Town & Country Public Libraries offer meeting space. Other public meeting locations are also available.
