Little Owl Owner Bob Arbizzani Dies at 67

Bob Arbizzani, owner of The Little Owl in Geneva, died Wednesday, May 29, after a long battle with cancer, according to his obituary in the Kane County Chronicle.

Bob was well-known in the Tri-Cities as the owner of Geneva's longest-standing business, The Little Owl, and its neighbor, Flagstone Pub.

His life will be celebrated, appropriately, at 2 p.m. June 15 at the United Methodist Church of Geneva, 211 Hamilton St., followed by a gathering of family and friends in the Fellowship Hall. The family will then host a reception at The Little Owl/Flagstone at 101-105 W. State St., Geneva.

Arbizzani was active in the Geneva Chamber of Commerce and the Geneva History Center, but he will leave an indelible mark as the owner and CEO of the cornerstone restaurant that in so many ways represents the history and flavor of the community he called home.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Barbara; two sons, Chris, 39, and John, 36, both of Geneva; and siblings, JoAnn Vanthornout, Richard (Dick) Arbizzani, Ronald (Ron) Arbizzani and Timothy (Tim) Arbizzani; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
