Man In Stable Condition After Falling Off Roof: Batavia Police
Police arrived at the Batavia house around 10:14 a.m. Tuesday to assist the man who was working at the property.
BATAVIA, IL — A 25-year-old man fell off the roof of a house Tuesday morning and was transported by helicopter to a local hospital for advanced medical treatment, according to Batavia police.
The man was working on rehabilitation on a house in the 200 block of South Prairie Street when he fell off scaffolding, according to police. Police officers and fire crews were dispatched to the house to help the worker around 10:14 a.m Tuesday.
The incident does not appear criminal or suspicious, Detective Sergeant Gary La Barbera told Patch Friday. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and workplace safety issues, La Barbera said.

The man, who is in stable condition as of Friday, will probably be released from the hospital in a couple of days, according to La Barbera.

"It's very fortunate he's going to be okay," he said.
