Marklund to serve up flapjacks and corvettes at Pancake Breakfast

Delicious homemade foods and shiny collectible cars will be served up at Marklund's 5th annual Pancake Breakfast Saturday, Sept. 12.

Delicious homemade foods and shiny collectible cars will be served up in September at Marklund’s 5th annual Pancake Breakfast. Held on Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Marklund at Mill Creek campus, 1S450 Wyatt Dr., Geneva, the breakfast will take place from 8:30-11 a.m. in the Hyde Center building, while the car show, presented by members of the Fox Valley Corvette Club will be in the front parking lot.

Marklund is a non-profit organization that serves adults and children with severe developmental disabilities.
Organized by parents of Marklund clients, the Pancake Breakfast is a fun way to raise money and promote awareness for Marklund’s programs and services while giving parents, staff, neighbors, and donors an affordable way to give back and support the organization.

“The Pancake Breakfast is an affordable event that the families can enjoy with their loved ones,” said Phyllis Perry, who is a parent of a Marklund client, and Pancake Breakfast Coordinator. “A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone that participates in this event.”

A special highlight for the event is the car show presented by the Fox Valley Corvette Club. Weather permitting, members will display their vintage, restored and brand new vehicles for all to see. Owners will be on hand to provide information about their cars.
