BATAVIA, IL — Authorities in Batavia are looking for two masked men — one armed with a baseball bat — who held up K L Liquors & Pantry Wednesday night. Police say they entered the business in the 1300 block of Wind Energy Pass at about 10:50 p.m. and demanded cash. They got away with the money and a bottle of liquor, according to a news release from the Batavia Police Department.
The male suspects were wearing all black clothing and ski masks at the time of the armed robbery, authorities said. An employee at the business told authorities the duo fled on foot in an unknown direction. The store employee was not injured in the incident, according to the news release.
Both men were described as being about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. Anyone with information that may aid the police department's investigation can call the Batavia Police Department's Investigations Unit at 630-454-2500.
