Basset Hound/Beagle Mix

Maybelle was abandoned at a high kill shelter in Tennessee. Safe Haven Dog Rescue brought her to Illinois and now this sweet and beautiful girl is ready for adoption and looking for a family that will give her all the love she deserves.

One look into her eyes and you will be in love! She is so sweet and friendly, loving other dogs, cats and all people, definitely a people dog! It’s so cute to watch her come to you for one of her favorites, belly rubs, with a smile on her face. Even though she does like to play, she is also laid back, mellow and rarely barks. She really enjoys going on her daily walks, and true to her breed, she likes to stop and smell along the way.

Although she is crate trained, she loves attention and hanging out with her humans, and would prefer to be out with her family rather than crated. She is a young 6 year old but, she has an old soul, and would enjoy a home that will give her lots of gentle love and attention.
