Memorial Service This Saturday For Batavia Couple Lost To Explosion

The service for Dennis and Carolyn Chidester will begin at 4 p.m. Sat., Aug. 13, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia.

A memorial service will be held this Saturday, Aug. 13, to honor a Batavia couple who lost their lives in a tragic explosion.

The service for Dennis Chidester and his wife, Carolyn, will begin at 4 p.m. at , 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia. The home is located in the city's downtown area.

Visitation will start at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home until the service begins.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Family of Denny and Carolyn Chidester—a college education fund will be established for the benefit of their grandchildren.

Dennis and Carolyn Chidester died as a result of injuries sustained in a explosion inside their cabin in Armenia, WI, about 100 miles north of Madison. Sydney Chidester, one of their grandchildren, was with them at the time of the incident. . To read more about what happened, click .
