More Than 150 Houses Participating In Batavia City-Wide Garage Sale
The two-day sale, taking place at residences across the city, is almost here. Items available will range from household goods to clothing.
BATAVIA, IL — Batavia's city-wide garage sale is a few days away, and more than 150 residences spread out throughout the city are set to participate in the two-day sale.
The 28th-annual garage sale will take place May 6 and May 7. For those who plan to hunt for items, organizers are making it easy by providing an online interactive map. The platform allows users to sort homes by the pieces they'll have available.
Items available will run the gamut, from clothing, children's items and electronics to housewares, sporting goods and antique/collectible items.

The garage sale is hosted by the Batavia Fireworks Committee as a way to raise money — through registration fees — for the Fourth of July Sky Concert that happens yearly in Engstrom Park.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the committee has had to hold off on hosting fundraising events, and the last one took place in late fall 2019, organizers said.
