Residents can receive notification by text or email in advance of adultcide aerial spraying by going to the Clarke Portal and following the prompts. Clarke and the City of Batavia engage in several other efforts behind the scenes to control mosquitoes. This includes maintaining a network of mosquito traps that enable counting and the ability to obtain samples for testing. Clarke also has crews that perform treatments to areas of standing water throughout town and utilize backpack sprayers for targeted control.
All these efforts contribute to the overall goal of protecting public health while at the same time being fiscally responsible to the citizens.
