Need A Job? National Hiring Day Event Will Take Place In Batavia

BATAVIA, IL — Looking for a job? Wednesday marks National Hiring Day and to commemorate, Covenant Living at the Holmstad is hosting a job fair.

During the event at the Batavia retirement community, at 700 W. Fabyan Parkway, interviews will be conducted for all available positions. Some people might even get on-the-spot offers, organizers said.

Open job positions include chef, housekeeper, custodian, utility worker, receptionist and nurse manager, among others. Interviews will be conducted from 10:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.

To register for the event, people interested can visit Covenant Living's website — also where information about wages can be found. The first 50 people to RSVP will receive a $10 gift card after completing an interview, according to the Batavia Chamber of Commerce.
