Moka Coffee Opens Drive-Thru, Walk-Up Window At New Batavia Location

Owners of the new Batavia coffee shop, selling coffee and espresso beverages, tea and bites to eat, also operate a cafe in North Aurora.

BATAVIA, IL — Do you ever want to stop for coffee at a drive-thru but want to try something besides Starbucks or Dunkin'?

Batavia's newest cafe, Moka Coffee, will likely become a favorite for locals since it features a drive-thru and walk-up window as well as an outdoor patio.

Moka officially opened Friday. City leaders including Mayor Jeffery Schielke and Batavia Chamber of Commerce President Margaret Perreault joined owners Scott and Jeanette Miller for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the cafe at 132 Independence Drive.

The new cafe is the couple's second in Illinois. The Miller's opened their first Moka Coffee in North Aurora in 2019. The coffee shop specializes in coffee and espresso drinks, tea and smoothies. In the food arena, the menu features pastries, fruit and yogurt parfaits, oatmeal and moka bites.

In a news release, Chamber officials described Moka as serving "high quality" drinks with "exceptional, efficient customer service."

Moka Coffee also has multiple locations in Wisconsin and Minnesota. In Batavia, the cafe is currently open from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, and from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
