Nov. 8 Graffiti Spree Includes Municipal Properties
City parking garage, wastewater treatment among the canvasses.
Batavia police reported no less than four graffiti markings on Nov. 8, three of which involved public property.
- Someone spray painted graffiti on the upper deck wall of the Batavia City Parking Garage, 10 N. River St., according to a report filed at 5:42 a.m. Nov. 8.
- Someone spray painted the south out building on the property of the Batavia Wastewater Treatment Works, 400 Shumway Dr., according to a report filed at 9:26 a.m. Nov. 8.
- Someone spray painted graffiti on the railings of the bicycle bridge and on an adjoining wall in the 0-99 block of North River Street, according to a report filed at 9:50 a.m. Nov. 8.
- Someone spray painted graffiti in the garage door of a residence in the 200 block of Union Street sometime prior to 1:20 p.m. Nov. 8, reports said. Estimated cost to clean the garage was set at $100.
