Police Extricate 1 Trapped in Car in 1-Vehicle Crash in Batavia

BATAVIA, IL - One person was taken to the hospital following a one-vehicle crash on Kirk Road just south of Wilson Street in Batavia on Sunday night.

Emergency personnel responded to the crash at 11:33 p.m. on Sunday, according to a Batavia Fire Department press release. Those first on scene found a car off the road and about 200 feet in the woods. The vehicle was on its roof.

Fire officials said the car was stabilized and the patient was extricated without incident. The extrication took about 20 minutes.

The person was then taken to Delnor Hospital. No immediate information on the person’s condition, or identity, was available.
