Prescribed Burn Planned Near Rotolo Middle School In Batavia

BATAVIA, IL — A prescribed burn is planned Thursday at the Normandy basin near Rotolo Middle School, officials announced.

The city is handling the burning, taking place at Raddant Road and Edwards Drive by the school's east entrance.

Classes will proceed as usual Thursday despite the project, which is scheduled to begin after 8:30 a.m. and end before school dismissal. Batavia Public School District 101 officials said drop-off and pick-up schedules won't be affected by the burning, officials said.
