Hospitals now charge 453$ for Ultrasound of heart that is being done in cardiologist office previously charging 189$. Patients Co-pay goes up from 38$ to 90$.

The 2nd article is an update of Compromise--so those who bought doctor's before 2016-will be able to charge more. Future mergers/acquisitions of doctors--Hospitals won't be able to charge higher prices.

You may think-my insurance will take care of it. Maybe-Maybe not if you are in high deductible plan.

So find out before you seek a doctor-Do you work for hospital? Then shop around and find an independent doctor--who will charge you less for Colonoscopy or knee surgery or hip replacement.Even blood tests,X-rays,MRI cost more for younger patients under 50 if you are going to hospitals owned doctors.
