River Rhapsody Concert Series Returns To Batavia This Summer
The summer concert series in downtown Batavia returns Wednesday. See which artists are slated to perform this summer.
BATAVIA, IL — A summer favorite is making its return to downtown Batavia Wednesday. The River Rhapsody concert series, organized by the Batavia Park District, will continue into August featuring a variety of lively and eclectic musical acts.
Seven concerts are planned throughout the summer, and each will take place from 7-8:30 p.m. at Peg Bond Center's band shell, 151 N. Island Ave. Concert-goers won't have to register in advance for the free shows, which are weather dependent.

- June 15: Final Say
- June 22: Johnny Russler & The Beach Bum Band
- June 29: Kaleidoscope Eyes
- July 13: Serendipity
- July 20: Second Hand Soul Band
- July 27: Nashville Electric Company
- Aug. 3: Feel Good Party Band
Visitors will have a few food and drink options during the concerts, too. Red and white wine, courtesy of Acquaviva Winery, will be available for purchase, as well as an assortment of savory and sweet food options from Fernando’s Street Kitchen and Koconuts Shave Ice.
Fernando's Street Kitchen will sell street tacos, plus some Mexican fare off the menu of their Batavia Restaurant, while the shaved ice truck will offer flavors including mango, root beer, pina colada and wedding cake. For dogs coming to the concert series, the truck also sells puppy ice.
