Search Continues For Batavia Man Mysteriously Missing In Montana

Police still have no sign of Paul Batson's whereabouts other than the abandoned car.

BATAVIA, IL -- As of Monday, emergency search teams, law enforcement, and volunteers had just covered an additional 250 acres in rural Montana in an expanded effort to find a missing Batavia man. Paul P. Batson has been missing under "suspicious circumstances" since his vehicle was found abandoned near Reed Point, Montana, and still has not been located.

During the initial search, crews, K-9 units, jet boats, and swift water techs combed a wide swath of area near where Batson's gray 2016 Dodge Charger had been found. They also searched parts of the nearby Yellowstone River, but were unable to find Batson, or "any clues to his whereabouts," Stillwater County Undersheriff Charles E. Kem said in a press release.

Police say they plan to continue to follow any new leads and information. If you have any information about Batson's whereabouts, contact Stillwater County Sheriff's Office at 406-322-5326.
