Six Flags Sued By Batavia Family Attacked At Fright Fest
A 12-year-old boy and his parents had "extreme injuries" after they were attacked by teenagers and park staff did nothing to help: Lawsuit.

BATAVIA, IL - A lawsuit has been filed on behalf of a Batavia family who endured an attack by several teens during a Halloween Fright Fest event at Six Flags Great America in September. The lawsuit names the amusement park and alleged staff there did nothing to intervene in the attack that left two parents and a 12-year-old boy hospitalized, the Lake County News-Sun reports.
The family suffered "extreme, permanent and debilitating physical, emotional and psychological injuries," according to the suit. It says that the family was first approached by a man wearing a Hawaiian shirt claiming to be security and ordered the 12-year-old to follow him. The boy's mother then intervened and called for the park's real security “believing that her child had almost been lured away by a child predator,” the suit states, according to the Lake County News-Sun.
It was then when someone in a group of about 10 teens yelled out "snitch" and that a group of them taunted the woman.

Previous reports indicate that one of the offenders attacked the boy, and his father came to his aid. The father was knocked to the ground and was punched and kicked by the teens before his wife came to help him. She was also then attacked.
