The library’s next Sundays on Stage program, “Smokey the War Dog,” will be presented at 2 p.m., May 31. Presenter Adrian Brigham will recount the heartwarming story of Smokey and her owner and trainer, Bill Wynne. Smokey was discovered at the bottom of a foxhole and became a decorated war dog. She entertained injured servicemen during World War II, earning battle stars and medals for bravery. A feature film about Smokey and Wynne is currently in pre-production. Registration is required.
