Stepdad Accused Of Hitting Teen With Car In North Aurora
A Batavia man faces several charges after a run-in with his stepson.

NORTH AURORA, IL - A fight between family members in North Aurora last weekend ended when a stepfather struck his teenage stepson with a car and then damaged the house, police said. Allan O. Richard, 33, of the 1100 block of Larkspur Lane in Batavia faces several charges in connection with the alleged Sunday incident, according to the Daily Herald.
An argument between Richard and his 19-year-old stepson progressed to the point where Richard allegedly got into his vehicle, drove to the rear of the house in the 200 block of East Arrowhead Street and struck the victim with his car and then damaged part of the house in the process before leaving in the car. The teen was hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries.
Richard was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in a person injured, criminal damage to property, two counts of misdemeanor domestic battery and one count of disorderly conduct after police found him at his Batavia address.
